I posted this over in the Ravelry group originally, then I realized that not enough people would get to see it. Typical ADD form, there ;)
****************** Hey, everyone! I know it’s been a while since episode 12, but I have every intention of continuing to podcast at least on a bi-weekly schedule, though I never want to go longer than monthly if I can help it. I really really want to get back up to weekly, if I can. In addition to the technical problems I had, I’ve been battling my ADD and depression more than usual the last few weeks. I know I need help beyond my prescriptions, but I can’t afford it, even with insurance. So I’ve been trying with all my might to pull myself through this on my own. I wish some of you lived close by so you could give me a good kick in the pants to get going! ;) Accountability partners are hard to come by in my neck of the woods! I’ve actually pondered the idea of looking for a co-host, but it’s turning out to be prohibitive for a number of reasons. Besides, it wouldn’t be fair to subject someone to working with yours truly ;) In conclusion, best case scenario is that the next episode will be out on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Worst case scenario, it’ll be out the day after Labor Day (US). Wish me luck! Category:general

Well, I've been thwarted a few times at recording a regular episode of the podcast, but I didn't want to leave anyone hanging, so I decided to collect a few promos from other podcasts that I really enjoy and share them with you. Some are knitting podcasts, some aren't, but all are shows I never miss. Here are the links to their websites: KIPing it Real - A new knitting podcast I fell in love with. I identify with Jackie in a frightening number of ways! Belle of the Ball Podcast - Another new knitting podcast discovery. I loved hearing about her travels to yarn shops around the country. Geek Loves Nerd - Podcast by a married couple who are delightful to listen to. They discuss things that affect married people, such as finances, communication, etc. Short Cummings Audio - Wonderful short humor essays that nail the human condition. Chicken Pop Pod - Hilarious show that talks about retro pop culture. If you grew up in the 80's or early 90's, you'll love this show! I'll be working on getting my equipment fixed, and I ordered a new microphone, so wish me luck that I'll be up and running for the next episode in two weeks! I've been hanging out with Murphy lately, and he's been imposing his laws all over the place! I've been knitting rather distractedly, so I've got lots of projects to share this week. Can you point me in the direction of some economical lace-weight yarn? I've got a couple earmarked at KnitPicks, but I haven't fallen in love with any of the colors there. A shorter than normal podcast since I'm going through a rough spot, but I make up for it with a longer than normal nostalgaic song. Not much knitting, my spinning wheel still isn't speaking to me, and I butcher some ring lace.

WooHoo! I'm 3 for 3! Maybe I CAN do this :)
This week I don't finish anything, but I start a couple new projects, and realize I have a lot to learn before I can finish.
